Should work.
After experiencing some difficulties getting older versions of AnyDVD HD to decode my Contagion disk (the first real difficulties I've had in almost 2 years using this product), this procedure worked for me:
  • Downloaded and installed 6.9.1.8
  • Exited AnyDVD HD
  • Deleted all the files in C:\ProgramData\SlySoft\AnyDVD\Cache
  • Downloaded and installed SetupBDPHash.exe
  • Started AnyDVD HD
  • Watched this marginal movie with little enjoyment, but felt great about my excellent technology
Thanks for the patient support, Peer

First be sure you're updated to 6.9.1.8, then go to the Information screen. If it shows a BDPHash.bin version earlier than 12-02-04-Y, exit AnyDVD HD completely (right-click the fox and click Exit), download & install the update, then restart AnyDVD HD.
Thank you for the clear explanation! No more errors about protection not being fully removed, am about to rip it now. Since I've already created an ISO image on the HDD is there a way for AnyDVD to remove the protection from that and allow me to rip the film? I could swear I've done it in the past but cannot recall what I did Seems it would be faster than ripping from the original disk again Currently AnyDVD only points to my optical drives and I see no way to open a file.

In theory if you ripped to image and left all the copy protection on then you just need to install Virtual Clone drive then mount the image and AnyDVD HD will see it

It might be a good idea to have setupbdphash.exe do that automatically (or from a prompt).

It also might be a cool feature to have AnyDVD check the server for an updated bdphash file either automatically or from a menu or button. If an update is to AnyDVD is required for it, it could prompt the user.

I posted earlier that i made a good copy of contagion, but i forgot to mention this is a Bluray copy and not Dvd. This may be the difference.

This worked for me and I didn't need to clear the cache as someone else suggested (IOW, I just followed the initial instructions to update to the beta and install the latest BDHash).

Thanks, guys.

Sorry, that is not a log file.
The log file is a .zip file - you need to post the whole zipfile.

Version 6.9.1.0 didn't handle Contagion, so that is no surprising result.
6.9.1.9 should definitely handle it (without any additional files), unless you have yet a new variant of this movie (which, personally, I found to be very trivial and rather boring - I really don't get why such a huge fuss is being made about it).

In that case: we really NEED the real log file.
