Default Computer Crashes When Clown_BD v0.79

I'm now using VirtualCloneDrive 5.4.5.0 on a current XP system.

I’ve been using earlier releases of VirtualCloneDrive for several years without issue. Generally, I rip to image with AnyDVD and then use Clown BD to remux as needed from the mounted ISO using VirtualCloneDrive.

A couple of days ago my system started crashing after selecting ‘Next’ in Step 2 of Clown BD. At first, I thought the problem was with Clown BD but I was able to replicate the crash by trying to look at the mounted ISO using BDInfo. Surprisingly, I was still able to Rip the mounted ISO to BR folder structure using AnyDVD.

I upgraded to the current version of VirtualCloneDrive but no change.

In the last couple of weeks I have upgraded a couple of key applications that may relate to this problem; they include DVDFab 8.1.6.3 and Norton Internet Security. I was on a DVDFab version several releases back. I’ve been using Norton Internet Security for several years without issue. There have also been the regular Java and Microsoft updates.

I’ve attached the miniDump.

Please help.

Where are the image files stored? This is the place where I would start to look. Local harddisk? SSD? Network? Try to enable buffered I/O in VCD prefs.

ISOs are on local HDD. I tried it against 2 different drives. I've tested with buffered I/O enabled and disabled. Same result.

You did mount the images *after* changing the setting? Otherwise it won't have any effect.
