Default Menu options on AnyDVD

I have been using AnyDVD for several years and recently I can no longer choose to "skip directly to main menu" when trying to set my menu options. Has this option been removed or do I just not know how to do this anymore? This causes all my discs to start running previews when they are inserted instead of jumping to the main or title menu. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

CalifGuy

This is due, because the file structure of the dvd, and not because the anydvd. Αnydvd does not change the structure, but only break the copy protections.

Not true, AnyDVD can change the way a DVD is played depending on how you have your settings set in the 'Video DVD' section. If you open up the main settings window and click on the 'Video DVD' section you then get a set of 'Remove annoying...' options and those settings are what determines what is skipped and what isn't on playback. You can always test before you rip by setting up those settings then playing the original disc on your PC with AnyDVD running in the background

I nearly always do a quick playback of the decrypted DVD before backing up using Win 7's media player or PowerDVD just to confirm annoying menu items only were removed. Easy to change settings and see what the results are that way. Saves time and blank media discs, knowing ahead of time what the output will be in a standalone player.

In that case you can use dvdclone to choose what you want to back-up or not

That is a bad program to begin with maybe try CloneDVD the actually software from Slysoft that works and not one that imitates Slysoft products but doesn't work well. This one helps to compress or remove features.

If the streams are contained within the DVD's menu structure CloneDVD won't do a thing for you. AnyDVD can remove annoying menu streams, CloneDVD can remove annoying regular playback streams.

DVDClone I know nothing about, and frankly don't want to know anything about it. AnyDVD/CloneDVD back up DVDs quite well. I don't need nor want to spend money for a third party product.
