I hope I've got everything right here. (Attached log file and Pics) I'm using Any DVD 7041, Clone 2. I'm getting two types of rejects.
1. "File/D:/Video_TS/VIDEO_TS.VOB 30 TCSECTOREADER: 2. "Failed to read from the File VTS_02_1.VOB" These Errors relate to all my DVD's I am attempting to copy eg, "You don't Know Jack" "The The Whistleblower". I have feeling it may be something simple (or not) because i am old and wise. Can you assist Please Ande008. |

If this is really true:
These Errors relate to all my DVDs ... then it can't very well be software. READ errors on a mass scale like this point to a hardware error and it's looking like your DVD drive is having some serious issues. Software does not "break" like this.

Thanks for your quick reply. I don't know how to go about checking My HD's. But I will try reinstalling the DVD drives
One thing i omitted to say these errors are on my XP computer and my W7 computer Brian Anderson

Can we regroup?
I assume you are eventually going to decide which machine to run the product(s) on since we aren't offering this stuff as shareware. When you pick ONE (magic word in the EULA) then de-install from the other. Please clarify your scenario. You have 100% read failure of ALL DVDs on TWO machines? Can I first suggest you left click the AnyDVD system tray icon and click "default". Then try a copy.

I have two separate Reg No's for each copy of of ANY DVD. The Dvd Player can show Movies. I have installed/reinstalled The DVD. When this Happens Windows puts in its own Driver. I re install AnyDVD and it puts in its own Driver.
Any DVD can read the dvd drive it does its thing very well. But when i use Clone2 or any Other Recoder, I get those rejects you see in th attachment. I had this problem for about 2 months now. I have gone to system restore to a couple Restore Points but to no avail. Prior to all this I had no Problem. The registry may be the issue but Any DVD is there with its driver. Some thing is blocking the copping but I don't know what. You asked me to go to the icon in the system tray I right clicked but "default" was not there among the other items. ande008 |

Have you tried going back to a disc that previously worked and trying that? If that has the same issues then have a look at what software you have installed on both machines as the only other things it could be would be some conflicting software |

Can you backup the video to your hard drive without using clone DVD? i.e. right click on the AnyDVD icon and select "Rip Video DVD to Hard Disk"?
If you can't backup using just "rip Video DVD to Hard Disk" then it's not a re-encoder problem. It's probably a DVD hardware problem or you have a corrupt windows hardware driver. If backing up does work, then try uninstalling and re-installing CloneDVD. If backing up doesn't work; Have you tried completely uninstalling the DVD driver? I.E. uninstall the driver from windows by going into control panel > Hardware > Device manager > DVD/CD-ROM Devices and uninstall the driver for the DVD drive in question. Then shut down the computer, remove the drive (or disconnect the power cable) and restart the computer without the DVD drive installed or powered. Then shut down the computer again, re-install the drive itself and re-start the computer. If that doesn't work, then try a different DVD drive (not the one that doesn't work on the other computer). And if all that doesn't work, try a virus scan and as a last resort, it might just be easier to do a complete re-install of XP. Just be careful about what programs you re-install before you know everything is working though. PS It's also possible that your computer(s) have a power supply problem, though hard to believe that two would fail at the same time on different computers unless these drives are recent additions to both computers. Thanks Adbear & Roycal. I have already done most of of what you have suggested but I have more to do. However acting on previous suggestions I have tried to find what was common to both computers.
The one Program I have on both computers is a registry editor that i use. Im am almost sure it has has rooted up the registry settings. I didn't stuff up the settings, it did. It's not my fault. . I am ignorant when it comes to registry settings. When I used Clone today, Prior to its doing anything else, it tried to repair contact with AnyDVD, but was unable? Ande008 |
