Default AnyDVD gives "Failed to read DVD" error. Clone DVD gives "Unexpected Error"

So, I just got the first DVD that my machine will not clone. I read through all the steps on the 14199 thread and hopefully I have compiled all the necessary information.

    Troubleshooting:
First off, I downloaded and installed AnyDVD 6.6.1.3 beta
Then, I checked, and I was already using CloneDVD 2.9.2.7
Then I checked my Drive info. My RPC-2 drive region was set to unassigned. I went into Device Manager and set it to Region 1 (I am in Los Angeles, CA, USA). This, however did not fix the problem.

When I first insert the DVD, it takes AnyDVD a while to read the disc. Finally it spits out the error: “Failed to read DVD. This could have several reasons…” (See attached: “AnyDVD Error.PNG”)
After the error is displayed, AnyDVD’s status screen looks as though it has read the DVD successfully, however. At this point, I generated a log file. When I tried to attach the .zip logfile to this post, it kept giving me an error, so you can download it using the following link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2198747/AnyD...razy_Heart.zip

    Now I open up CloneDVD.
I choose “Clone DVD”. I notice that on the “Title Configuration” page, in the Audio Settings column, each title says “no audio”.
I continue through the menus. When I hit “GO”, I get the following error:
“Unexpected Error” with “CloneMap 2 TCE” in the Details Box.
For log file, see attached: “CloneDVD Log (With AnyDVD Running).txt”

So… I tried disabling AnyDVD and running CloneDVD again. Here are the results:
On the “Title Configuration” page, I now have Audio Settings for each title… however when I go to burn, I get the following error:
Trying to repair defective DVD structure, please wait…
Then… an “Unexpected Error” with “IFOProperties 6 TCE” in the Details Box.
For log file, see attached: “CloneDVD Log (Without AnyDVD Running).txt”

I have included some more info on the drive in the attached file "Drive Info.PNG"

It may be worth noting that this is a "Screener DVD" and is not available for purchase through Amazon or any other outlet.

    Any ideas guys???

    Thanks,
    Jason

Was this DVD pasted in a magazine? Where did you get this?

Media is not CSS protected., etc. means this is not a retail studio DVD.
No studio is releasing DVDs without AT LEAST CSS keys.

The status panel is not error information. Can we see a log from AnyDVD?
The "READ" error is not a protection but rather a failure of your drive and Windows to read the data. It may play and look pristine but I suspect this is a garage produced DVD.

Let's see the log file from AnyDVD please:

    a) Ensure Anydvd is running.
    b) Put that DVD in your optical drive/reader. Wait for Anydvd to scan the disc.
    c) Right click the red fox icon in the Task Bar and select "Create Logfile"
    e) Wait for Anydvd to create a log file, a pop-up screen will appear.
Take note of the location where Anydvd created the logfile and the logfile's name.
    Click "ok".
    g) Go to your My Documents folder and there you will see a zip file called
    "Anydvd_Info_<DVD TITLE>.zip" (or something similar)

Attach that ZIP file to your reply please.

That's not true. But they usually don't use dvd-r media.

I get an error when I try to attach the logfile to the post (not sure why), but I put a link to it in the original post. Here it is again:

    Thanks

P.S. Trust me, it is not garage produced.

Bottom of the disc is a dark purple color and the disc came directly from 20th Century Fox.

As for the new logfile, use the following link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2198747/AnyD...razy_Heart.zip

    Hope this helps...

Default In Reply to anyone asking me to attach log files to posts...

Sorry James, but I have tried time and time again to attach the .zip log files generated from AnyDVD, but I get an error. If you read the previous posts, you'll see that this is the THIRD time I have said this.

I have attached a screenshot of the upload error message that I get to this message. I am sorry, but you will just have to use the links on the posts to download the logfiles unless you have a fix for this too.
