How to disable the WHQL Driver Signing warning that appears during installation?
Windows XP Professional (x86) SP3
SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive 220.127.116.11
I am trying to disable the unsigned driver warning dialog that pops up during install:
The software you are installing for this hardware:
has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP...
[Continue Anyway] [STOP Installation]
I tried to:
1. Run the following three commands:
C:\windows\system32\reg.exe ADD "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Driver Signing" /v Policy /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
C:\windows\system32\reg.exe ADD "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Driver Signing" /v Policy /t REG_BINARY /d 0 /f
C:\windows\system32\reg.exe ADD "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Non-Driver Signing" /v Policy /t REG_BINARY /d 0 /f
3. Run SetupVirtualCloneDrive5450.exe /S
When the dialog appears and I look at the registry value, "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Driver Signing\Policy", it is reset back to 01.
Why? Any ideas?
