    How do I play a Blu-ray with AnyDVDHD, when I have a non-HDCP monitor?
I try to play it with AnyDVD running in the background, with the PowerDVD9 that came with my Blu-Ray drive, and I get a message saying "Cyberlink PowerDVD does not support the playback of this media format."
So how do I play it? Do I need a different player?

Well apparently the PowerDVD 9 that came with me LG Blu-ray drive isn't a full version, and it needs to be upgraded to play Blu-rays. How cheap can you be. I rather it included no player software, rather than player software that won't play a Blu-ray, without upgrading it.

Not true, The software disc that comes with the Blu-ray drives has always been able to play back Blu-rays. Is it the red disc marked 'super multi blue'?

No. It was a blue disc marked Super Multi Blue. ver. 1.3a
It came with LGs latest Blu-ray drive LG BH12LS35 retail box.

Then it's a Blu-ray version of PDVD, that's why it has the word 'Blue' on the disc. Also I thought the Blue disc contained PDVD 8 not 9. 9 Normally comes on a red disc

Then why am I getting that error message? Shouldn't it play fine then, even though my monitor isn't HDCP, but I have AnyDVD HD?

Nobody can answer this without you posting an AnyDVD logfile.

Arcsoft TMT5 is good one to try.

Well I downloaded PowerDVD 10 MarkII demo, and it plays the Blu-ray. No problem. So I know that AnyDVD HD is working.
If I look at the features list at Cyberlink, there is no check mark in the PowerDVD 9 standard, to play Blu-ray.

I originally posted this here because I thought it was an AnyDVD problem, but it appears to be with PowerDVD 9.

It may just be an issue with those discs and the free version of PDVD 9 that came with the drive. I've installed hundreds of LG Blu-ray drives and the version that comes with them does play back Blu-ray, but hasn't been updated for a while
