I just bought "Thunderbirds" DVD. New disk, no scratches.

I have used ANY DVD to backup ~700 of my movies, thank you for this software, its been fantastic.

I have 2 LG Drive's, both if them give me the same error when attempting to rip the disk to hard drive: "IFOProperties 6".

I've tried it with AI set to auto and to forced.
    I'm using AnyDVD HD 7.0.2.0 2012-03-09.

    I've read these related threads:
    Extensive problem determination guide
    Some information for isolating problems
IFOProperties 6 thread from google search

    Section I. Pre-steps
New disk, but I cleaned it anyways.
There is no 'Remove packet writing software' on my system.
    Firmware is up to date.
    Region code is set.

    Section II. Regular Steps
    I'm using latest ANYDVDHD
Clicked "Default" and tried again. Same issues.
I only "Rip video-dvd to Hard Disk".

"What happens" + "when it happens":
I try Copy to Hard Disk, It starts - runs for a while, A little after 40% it switches status to: "Repairing defective DVD Structure", at 100% of that, it says "IFOProperties 6''.

ya... It doesn't hurt to update to the latest beta and try again.
    Report back though... :)

Sorry about that. Beta Installed (restarted computer), and same result.

See attached log from the AnyDVD_7.0.2.7 Beta.

Thank you for your time and effort.

AnyDVD got to ~ 50% before it started "Repairing defective DVD Structure", then when that was at 100% the program generated the error again.

Do you have any other suggestions? Has anyone else ripped this disk?

The disk has structural copy protections.
One of the Cods will have to look at your logfile and see if AnyDVD is handling it correctly.

Try to set the AI scanner to "always enabled" for this disc.

For what it's worth, I had no problems with the Region 1 version of that DVD way back around Christmas of 2010. I don't recall if I used the Canadian or American version (though they both had the same extras), but if I still have it in a box somewhere, I'll try to copy it again with the latest Beta (I'm always curious).

Note: I used Shrink and Nero (with AnyDvd of course).

Does it work if you use CloneDVD2 instead of AnyDVD ripper?

I still haven't gotten around to downloading the latest beta, but my Thunderbirds DVD (Widescreen) doesn't appear to have structural protection and it has some French on the cover and back because it was sold in Canada. Other than the French writing, the specs appear to be the same as the US version that the OP linked. The UPC is probably even the same ... mine is 025192384424.

I didn't try to make another backup, but I did make sure that Shrink finished encoding it, just to make sure there was no error message. I also was able to rip it to my harddrive without any errors.

Here's the logfile using AnyDVD 7.0.0.8 (and default settings):

James, I don't have clone DVD. I only have AnyDVDHD.

It is my understanding that even If I had clone DVD, it would use AnyDVD to decrypt the disk.

I've tried again with the latest 7.0.4.0. Attached is the log file. Same thing, ~40% it switches to repair disk structure, then at 100% of that it just fails.

You are correct, the UPC IS the same. I appreciate you taking the time to look into this for me.

With your feedback, It sounds like I just might have a weird disk. You know, one of those disks that can be played but not read. Who knows. The movie is copyrighted in 2004, so the disk couldn't be too old.

If you were able to copy yours, one would think that AnyDVD isn't the issue. -- unless they changed the encryption on more recently made disks.

    Please use the demo version.
Yes, but you would use CloneDVD to rip/repair the disc.

I have a feeling this is a regression problem (old AnyDVD works, new doesn't). That's why I asked you to try CloneDVD.

Thunderbirds still worked with AnyDVD 7.0.4.0

I still didn't have any problems or get any warning messages when ripping Thunderbirds to my harddrive using AnyDVD 7.0.4.0.

Whatever the reason for the OP's failure to successfully rip his disc to his harddrive, will have to remain a mystery. My Thunderbirds disc still soars, but the OP's disc likes to crash before it burns. Yet another case for Ripley's Believe It Or Not.

I have the same disc here. No problems at all.
Only difference is, that you log shows a
WARNING: Problem reading navpack, curSector 1949434, absoluteSector 2081797
while mine doesn't. The disc is the same (same discid hash), so I assume that your disc is defective.
